About the Role

  • As a tax intern, you will be responsible for creating an excellent client experience, performing duties as needed in projects, and accepting responsibility for accuracy of data entry, accumulation, and maintenance.
  • You will learn through your Performance Advisor the elements of project management, including delegation and the ability to properly manage workload.
  • Specific duties may include recording transactions in ledgers, preparing trial balances and simple financial statements using computer and software programs, performing schedule computations of accruals, property and equipment, and calculating depreciation expense.
  • You may also be involved in audit, tax, or consulting procedures as assigned by supervisors, or assisting in proofing financial statements, tax returns, and other documents.
  • Travel to client offices may be required as part of your duties.

Qualifications

  • Junior or Senior student actively pursuing a degree in an area where the firm serves clients (accounting or related consulting area).
  • Proficiency with computer and spreadsheet software programs, or software appropriate to practice area.
  • General knowledge of internship area as appropriate.
