Job Summary

The Clinical Support Technician II is a vital member of the Burn Center team, providing exceptional patient care and support. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
  • Provide critical review of patient care documentation, identifying significant changes in patient condition and reporting to registered nurses or physicians.
  • Perform a variety of clerical tasks, including organizing and prioritizing workload, greeting and directing visitors, and maintaining medical records.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support, including PI audits and data entry.
  • Assist with clinical support tasks, such as cleaning the work area, maintaining office equipment, and troubleshooting common software and hardware problems.
  • Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and assisting with ambulation.
  • Measure and record vital signs, patient height, and weight, and perform other patient care activities as outlined in the plan of care.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Must be listed as a Nursing Assistant I by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
  • Licensed as a Nursing Assistant II by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Requires one (1) year of clerical or customer service experience and three (3) months of nursing assistant experience.
Work Environment

This is a 36-hour per week position, working 12-hour rotating shifts (7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am) with weekend and holiday rotation. The Clinical Support Technician II will work in a fast-paced environment, providing care to burn victims of all ages and acuity levels.
