Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meat Clerk to join our team at Food City. As a Meat Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and store efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Management: Rotate and stock perishable products in a timely and efficient manner to ensure maximum freshness and minimize waste.
  • Meat Preparation: Package and wrap various cuts, salads, and other products to meet customer demands and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Learn about different cuts of beef and pork, including their origins and characteristics, to provide expert advice to customers.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist in grinding fresh burgers and ensuring compliance with the 18-hour grind policy, as well as cleaning the cutting room and cooler area to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required
  • Previous Experience in Food Service or Retail: Preferred
  • Excellent Communication and Teamwork Skills: Essential
