Position Objective:

The role involves collaborating with the Childcare and Family Program Manager to instruct and supervise designated children, ensuring a secure environment that fosters their physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in executing activities that promote children's development in areas such as creativity, cognitive skills, language, and sensory/motor skills.
  • Attend to basic needs including feeding, diapering/toilet training, and hygiene maintenance.
  • Conduct routine cleaning tasks such as organizing, washing surfaces, and sanitizing play areas.
  • Ensure all items are sanitized each shift to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Provide feedback on individual children's progress to parents during pick-up.
  • Share insights and suggestions regarding the childcare program.
  • Exhibit flexibility and the ability to engage with children aged two (2) weeks to nine (9) years.
  • Identify and report any equipment or materials that may pose safety or health risks.
  • Punctually report to work and actively interact with children throughout the shift.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

Applicants must be at least 15 years old. Previous experience or formal education in child development or a related field is preferred. Recent experience in childcare is valued.

Ability to connect with children and families, showing sensitivity to their needs and emotions, while effectively working both independently and as part of a team is essential.

Certification Requirements:

CPR/AED and First Aid certification is required upon hire or must be obtained within three (3) months of employment. The cost will be covered by Family Wellness LLC.
