Job SummaryWe are seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our team at DaVita Inc. As a PCT, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care, working under the supervision of a registered nurse. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe and effective delivery of dialysis treatment to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
- Measure and record patient statistics, including vital signs and laboratory results
- Perform technician duties, such as setting up and operating hemodialysis machines
- Build long-term relationships with patients and their families, providing education and support on kidney disease and dialysis-related topics
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Desire to enter the healthcare field and care for others
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical and mental ability to work long hours on your feet, with occasional exposure to blood and needles
