Austin, Texas, United States Amazon Full time
Job Summary
A software development engineer position is available on the AWS Alameda team. The team is shaping the future of how control planes for AWS services will be offered. As a software development engineer on this team, you will leverage modern technologies and AWS services to empower AWS service teams to be more productive.

The cost of offering a new piece of software as a managed service is often orders of magnitude higher than simply creating the new software. The AWS Alameda centralizes this work, saving each of these many AWS teams the cost of creating, maintaining and improving control planes. We are looking for world-class software developers who like to deliver software solutions that solve business problems and delight customers with efficiency and productivity gains.

About Us
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. We pioneered cloud computing and never stopped innovating — that's why customers from the most successful startups to Global 500 companies trust our robust suite of products and services to power their businesses.

What You'll Do
You will have experience programming with at least one software programming language, preferably Java or TypeScript. A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent is required. You should have 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience and 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience. Experience with design patterns, reliability, and scaling is essential.

Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time position with an estimated salary range of $140,000-$200,000 per year, depending on experience. Amazon offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off. Additionally, you will have opportunities for career growth and professional development within the company.
