BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team in Rising Sun, Maryland. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide high-quality rehabilitative care to adult and geriatric patients in their homes throughout Cecil County.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in occupational therapy, with experience in home health care and a passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes. This full-time opportunity offers a competitive salary of $75,000 per year, plus benefits, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for career advancement.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' functional status, including muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, written and verbal communication skills, and ADL and IADL performance.
  • Develop individualized intervention plans to achieve favorable outcomes and continually assess and revise the occupational therapy care plan as needed.
  • Educate and instruct patients, family members, or other patient representatives on rehabilitative care and activities necessary to promote the client's health, safety, and independent living.
  • Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations pertaining to patient care management and services provided using a state-of-the-art touch pad tablet.
Requirements
  • A current MD Occupational Therapist license.
  • Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA, as indicated by school transcript or diploma.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
