Job Title: IT Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team at TEKsystems. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues, and maintaining desktop and laptop hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site technical support for end-users at client sites
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
  • Perform ITSM (ServiceNow) and MOC & 24/7 Pager Support to maximize site-related HW/SW resource uptime
  • Resolve technical problems in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and peripheral devices
  • Communicate technical information to end-users in a clear and concise manner
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical issues
  • Document all technical support activities in the CMDB/ITSM ticketing system (ServiceNow)

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in desktop support, including experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and desktop hardware
  • Knowledge of networking and telecommunications technologies
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to lift and move computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Experience with telecommunications and printer maintenance is preferred
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
