Job Title: Body Shop Foreman/Advisor

At Freightliner of New Stanton, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Body Shop Foreman/Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our body shop department, you will be responsible for supervising, motivating, and assisting technical staff to ensure the highest quality repair work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign and prioritize work to technicians to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Monitor and ensure repair order quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Record and track repair orders, job assignments, and technician productivity.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other departments, vendors, and customers to ensure seamless repair processes.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to company safety protocols and regulations.
  • Assist technicians with complex diagnoses and repairs, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Track and analyze work processes to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Coordinate special orders and parts procurement with the parts department.
  • Provide backup and support to body shop employees as needed.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years of related experience or training in the automotive repair industry.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical capabilities to perform the duties of the job, as specified in the attached Physical Capabilities Checklist.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily shop environment with heavy machinery and equipment.
  • Some outside work in various weather conditions.
