Job Title: Bridge Construction Project Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager with extensive experience in heavy highway bridge construction, particularly in working with the Illinois and Indiana Departments of Transportation (DOT). As a key member of our team, you will oversee bridge construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex bridge construction projects, guaranteeing successful execution from start to finish.
  • Coordinate with the Illinois and Indiana DOT to ensure seamless compliance with state regulations, standards, and specifications.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Oversee subcontractors, vendors, and project teams to ensure work is completed according to plan and meets quality standards.
  • Prepare and submit project documentation, including progress reports, safety logs, and compliance records.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations, maintaining a safe work environment for all personnel.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and DOT representatives.
  • Resolve project issues and challenges as they arise, making proactive decisions to keep the project on track.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in highway bridge construction, with at least 3 years in a project management role.
  • Strong familiarity with Illinois and Indiana DOT specifications and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Knowledge of project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary and Benefits:

This position comes with a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
