We are in search of a seasoned Kubernetes Subject Matter Expert (SME) to enhance our ability to deliver essential tools swiftly to digital citizens and mission-driven professionals who rely on them to foster innovation across the nation.


As a Kubernetes SME within our organization, you will leverage your development expertise to optimize our software development lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering to production monitoring.

Utilizing open-source technologies, automation, and cloud solutions, you will reduce monotonous tasks, allowing our developers to focus on what they excel at – innovation.

You'll be responsible for implementing continuous integration and delivery practices to minimize manual testing and troubleshooting efforts. This role offers a chance to deepen your experience in contemporary, cloud-native software development.


Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in team management and leadership.
• At least 5 years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Proven experience in establishing Kubernetes environments.
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and practices.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in Configuration as Code tools, including AWS SSM, Ansible, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Capability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAT Level III Certification within the first six months of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Identity Authentication and Authorization methods, including Single-Sign-On, SAML, or OpenID.
• Background in advanced networking design and troubleshooting, including DNS, Routing, or Subnetting.
• Knowledge of operating systems such as Ubuntu, RHEL, and Windows Server.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO).
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Certification.
• AWS Certified Developer - Associate Certification.

Clearance Requirements:


Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.
