River Pointe of Trinity Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to enhance our exceptional in-house therapy services. This role is pivotal in delivering comprehensive rehabilitation support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient evaluations within forty-eight (48) hours following physician referrals.
  • Formulate effective treatment strategies and secure necessary approvals from referring physicians.
  • Implement treatment plans as prescribed by physicians.
  • Oversee the work of Occupational Therapy Assistants and Aides in patient care and related activities, adhering to the facility's supervision policies.
  • Engage in Patient Care Conferences, Utilization Review Meetings, and Rehabilitation Conferences.
  • Document evaluations, daily treatment notes, weekly progress reports, and therapy certification forms in accordance with facility policies.
  • Accurately record treatment charges daily as per facility guidelines.
  • Educate patients' families or nursing staff on maintenance programs.
  • Contribute to discharge planning efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Therapy Practice Act and facility policies.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Occupational Therapist license.
  • Open to Occupational Therapists of all experience levels.
  • Demonstrates a genuine commitment to assisting patients in their rehabilitation journey.
  • Possesses a solid understanding of therapy practices.
