Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a skilled Architect to join our team in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in developing and implementing design strategies for proposed projects.
- Ensure that designs meet all relevant building codes and regulations.
- Develop and manage construction documentation, including drawings and specifications.
- Research and specify materials and products, working closely with manufacturers to determine costs and feasibility.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure design quality and compliance.
- Work with other design professionals, including in-house and subcontracted teams, to deliver high-quality projects.
- Attend client meetings and take minutes to ensure accurate communication.
- Review and respond to RFIs and submittals in a timely and professional manner.
- Contribute to the creation of proposal and client meeting materials.
- Mentor and oversee tasks assigned to junior design team members.
- Conduct site visits for construction administration duties.
- Assist Project Managers in work planning and budgeting.
- Work closely with clients to coordinate projects, provide feedback, and gather input.
- Represent the company as the on-site project representative.
- Bachelor's and/or master's degree in architecture from an accredited university.
- At least 5 years of experience in architectural design.
- Registered Architect in Ohio or nearing licensure within 6 months or less of hire.
- Proficiency in Revit and ability to mentor junior team members.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to read, write, and understand English.
