About the Role

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a skilled Architect to join our team in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and implementing design strategies for proposed projects.
  • Ensure that designs meet all relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Develop and manage construction documentation, including drawings and specifications.
  • Research and specify materials and products, working closely with manufacturers to determine costs and feasibility.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure design quality and compliance.
  • Work with other design professionals, including in-house and subcontracted teams, to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Attend client meetings and take minutes to ensure accurate communication.
  • Review and respond to RFIs and submittals in a timely and professional manner.
  • Contribute to the creation of proposal and client meeting materials.
  • Mentor and oversee tasks assigned to junior design team members.
  • Conduct site visits for construction administration duties.
  • Assist Project Managers in work planning and budgeting.
  • Work closely with clients to coordinate projects, provide feedback, and gather input.
  • Represent the company as the on-site project representative.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in architecture from an accredited university.
  • At least 5 years of experience in architectural design.
  • Registered Architect in Ohio or nearing licensure within 6 months or less of hire.
  • Proficiency in Revit and ability to mentor junior team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to read, write, and understand English.
