About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Specialist in Transplant and Oncology care. In this critical role, you will provide high-quality patient-centered care to patients undergoing complex medical procedures, including kidney and liver transplants, cancer treatment, and other specialized services.

Responsibilities

  • Care for transplant, oncology, and medical patients, assessing their condition during admission and throughout each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures or functions ordered by medical providers, ensuring that all actions are aligned with established nursing models and standards of practice.
  • Document the administration of care in a timely and thorough manner, maintaining accurate records in the patient's medical file.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Requirements

  • Licensure as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure; active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire if holding a compact license.
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal directives.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is mandatory.
  • Previous experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred, but not required.
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN is necessary; BSN is highly desirable.

Earnings Potential

We offer an attractive compensation package, with an estimated annual salary range of $95,000 - $115,000, based on experience and qualifications.
