Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse Job Description

Children's Health (Dallas) is seeking a per diem / prn nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a per diem / prn nursing job in Dallas, Texas.


Job Summary:

As a Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill children, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, and promoting a culture of safety and excellence within the PICU.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill children, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Collaborate with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient encounters in EPIC.
  • Ensure the protection and security of Patient Health Information (PHI) at all times.

Requirements:
  • Four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas required.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification required.
