Position Overview:
This role will involve providing services across multiple locations. Our organization will support you in obtaining any necessary state licensure and will cover all associated costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and document comprehensive initial assessments, analyzing data to identify issues and establish a diagnosis prior to treatment.
- Inform patients when findings suggest conditions outside the scope of physical therapy and refer them to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate records of prognosis, treatment plans, patient responses, and progress within patient charts or electronic medical records (EMR).
- Develop, implement, and execute personalized physical therapy programs (including modalities, manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, etc.) aimed at enhancing, restoring, or maintaining physical function, alleviating pain, and preventing future dysfunction.
- Assess treatment effectiveness at various stages and modify approaches to maximize patient benefit.
- Supervise, evaluate, and communicate effectively with support staff.
- Provide educational resources regarding physical therapy, injury prevention, ergonomics, and health promotion.
- Facilitate patient discharge from therapy upon achieving treatment goals and ensure appropriate follow-up care or referrals are in place.
- Educate patients and their families on home treatment procedures.Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy is required.
- Valid Physical Therapy License and Registration in the relevant state is mandatory.
- BLS Certification is essential.
- Strong communication skills with patients, insurance providers, and colleagues.
- Ongoing collaboration with medical doctors regarding patient care is necessary.
- Proficiency in EMR systems, Microsoft Word/Excel, and knowledge of physical therapy billing codes.
- Familiarity with manual therapy techniques, modalities, and physical therapy exercise equipment is required.
