Overview:
The Medical Laboratory Technician plays a crucial role in the healthcare team by conducting essential laboratory analyses. This position is vital for ensuring accurate and timely test results that support patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts routine laboratory analyses across various departments.
- Executes standard testing protocols and accurately reports findings.
- Performs maintenance and troubleshooting on laboratory instruments.
- Implements quality control measures to ensure test accuracy.
- Manages and replenishes laboratory supplies necessary for testing procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Preferred: Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
- Consideration given to candidates with military medical lab training and relevant experience.
- One year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
- MLT (ASCP) certification or equivalent is mandatory.
Work Schedule:
- Flexible PRN schedule with rotation of weekends and various shifts.
