Job Title: Quality Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Supervisor to join our team at the Champaign plant. As a Quality Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating trials, serving as a liaison for R&D and the Champaign plant, and driving awareness of and adherence to the trial process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate trials across the Champaign facility, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all R&D trials, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Drive awareness of and adherence to the trial process, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Attend commercialization & STAR meetings for trials in all departments, providing updates and insights.
  • Lead the trial process within the plant, from set-up to post-trial evaluations, including coordinating schedule changes, resources, and testing.
  • Rebill all trial costs, coordinate receiving of raw & pack material, and place trial product on hold.
  • Work with Sr. Supervisor on disposition of finished product and materials, pulling & shipping samples for R&D as required.
  • Own analytical testing results summary, attend and assist in all 30-60-90 day reviews, and maintain trial schedule/status tracker.
  • Ensure required documentation for trial is completed, including PTR, trial plan & pHACCP.
  • Audit all new & updated formula sheets, batch sheets, pre-weigh sheets, & wet spice sheets for accuracy, and upload to S drive.
  • Update & audit IQS, formula database, RS batch (as applicable) for all department specification updates.
  • Drive trial process improvements, continuously auditing quality systems for compliance (CCP, Manufacturing procedures, etc.).
Requirements:
  • Education or operational experience in Food Science, Food Production, Manufacturing Quality/Operations, or other relevant environments.
  • Knowledge of quality or production systems, procedures, & policies.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, develop work plans, & prioritize.
  • Planning and organizing skills, detailed and action-oriented.
  • Effective communication skills (oral, written and verbal).
Work Environment & Schedule:

This position is considered a Manufacturing plant environment with heavy machinery and equipment. The role is typically 1st shift, but must be able to work alternative shifts, and/or weekends as required.
