Job Title: Store Manager

Food Lion is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Manager to lead our retail operations in the Mid-Atlantic region. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maximize sales potential and grow the customer base through effective merchandising, pricing, and promotional strategies
  • Lead and motivate a team of associates to achieve business objectives and provide excellent customer service
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Apply industry and market knowledge to create and improve competitive position
  • Provide a safe, secure, and pleasant environment for customers and associates
  • Manage store finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and inventory control
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity and promotes a culture of excellence
  • Recruit, select, and develop top talent to meet store talent needs
  • Recognize and reward associates for outstanding performance and contributions
  • Stay up-to-date with company tools and technologies, including financial reports, inventory management systems, and business information systems
Requirements:
  • College graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Solid understanding of retail operations and management principles
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Ability to lead and direct others, including training and development
  • Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for long periods, walk short distances, and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to use computers and other communication systems required to perform job functions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
