Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to enhance our team in Maryland. This role focuses on the lifecycle management of automation and manufacturing computer systems.

Key Responsibilities

The Automation Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Specifying, designing, and configuring programmable logic controllers (PLC), distributed control systems (DCS), and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate and propose modifications to improve operational efficiency.
  • Preparing and executing engineering documentation, maintenance procedures, and validation test plans for various systems.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in control systems design and implementation.
  • A solid understanding of the system development life cycle (SDLC) related to automated systems.
  • Experience with Emerson DeltaV or Allen Bradley controllers is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with the biotechnology or pharmaceutical sectors, particularly in FDA-regulated environments.
