Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and adhere to the Kinney Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Perform quality assurance steps to ensure accurate prescriptions are dispensed, and report dispensing incidents in a timely manner.
  • Oversee and manage the initial submission, resubmission, and collection of third-party claims.
  • Manage and balance pharmacy inventory to ensure maximum turns while maintaining in-stock levels for customer needs.
  • Oversee the transmitting, processing, and receiving of orders from the Kinney Warehouse and additional suppliers as needed.
  • Check pharmacy inventory for outdates and process returns.
  • Maintain prescription files and other manual records in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Ensure in-store pharmacy technology is utilized to its fullest potential to maximize return on investment and lifespan.
  • Exhibit outstanding customer service and ensure all employees adhere to loss prevention policies.
  • Assist in implementing corporate pharmacy marketing, advertising, and promotional programs.
  • Maintain a clean, professional environment that protects customer and employee safety.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with doctors and other healthcare professionals.
  • Stay aware of developments in the pharmacy and healthcare services fields and integrate them into practice.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding patient information.
  • Facilitate communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.
  • Assist in developing an annual pharmacy department operating budget and operate within budgetary guidelines.
  • Interact with Facility Manager on hiring practices, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions for pharmacy department personnel.
  • Assign duties and assist in scheduling pharmacy staff to meet payroll and productivity budget guidelines.
  • Train and develop pharmacy department personnel to perform duties.
  • Communicate corporate goals to pharmacy department personnel.
  • Attend and participate in HealthDirect required training and management programs.
  • Interface with auditors and outside agencies as needed.
  • Oversight responsibilities to ensure facilities comply with state and federal regulations and requirements.
  • Complete mandatory and regulatory training programs.
Requirements:
  • BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy.
  • Previous experience as a Pharmacist.
  • Valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy.
  • Ability to stand/walk throughout majority of shift.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Basic keyboarding skills.
