About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Advisor to join our team at Block Advisors in Boise, Idaho. As a Tax Advisor, you will be responsible for providing tax preparation, tax audit support, and tax planning services to our clients year-round.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their tax needs and provide personalized service.
  • Conduct tax interviews with clients to gather information and provide tax planning advice.
  • Prepare and review tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws.
  • Provide tax audit support and representation to clients in the event of an audit.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations to provide the best possible service to clients.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of tax experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or tax consulting firm.
  • Experience completing individual tax returns and providing tax planning advice.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues in person and virtually.
  • Comfort working with virtual tools, such as video conferencing and chat.
  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent.
