About the Role:
Chamberlain University is seeking a Clinical Nursing Instructor – Adult Med-Surg, Part-Time to join our team. As a Clinical Nursing Instructor, you will be responsible for mentoring students in an inpatient clinical setting, providing direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering nursing care to adult patients and their families. You will also be responsible for implementing the College’s philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system, and profession.
Responsibilities:
* Implements the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching, and service to the College, community, health system, and profession.
* Assesses and evaluates student performance and provides documented feedback.
* Maintains current knowledge related to agency/clinical policies, procedures, and expectations with the assistance of the agency/clinical personnel.
* Develops and posts written clinical assignments consistent with student's knowledge base, skill competency, and individual learning needs.
* Evaluates and provides documented feedback to student on level of performance based on course objectives.
* Is available for remediation of students as required or needed.
Requirements:
* A Master's in Nursing (MSN), or doctoral degree (DNP/PhD) in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
* An unencumbered California RN nursing license.
* Active BLS certification (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network).
* At least two years professional experience within the last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse.

* Work in an inpatient clinical setting, mentoring students while they demonstrate nursing skills and procedures.
