We are seeking an Imaging Technologist to join our team at Summerville Medical Center, a 120+ bed hospital with a 24-hour emergency room and comprehensive medical services.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position working SAT/SUN 8a-8p and Monday 12-12a. As an Imaging Technologist, you will perform radiological diagnostic procedures as outlined by the Radiologist. You will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary team that makes up Medical Imaging, having a significant impact on the improvement of human life.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into a specified position, and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
- Minimize radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation safety.
- Operate diagnostic equipment, process images and prepare room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure.
- Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology is required.
- RT Certification from ARRT is required.
- South Carolina State License: SCRQSA in Radiology is required.
- Minimum of 1 year's experience as Radiology Technologist is highly preferred.
