Job Title: Geotechnical Testing Specialist

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Testing Specialist to join our team at Shannon & Wilson Inc. As a Geotechnical Testing Specialist, you will be responsible for performing laboratory testing, data collection, and equipment maintenance, as well as analyzing and interpreting test results to determine compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct laboratory testing and analysis of soil and rock samples.
  • Collect and record data using various instruments and equipment.
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to clients, vendors, and staff at all levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality control processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 0-4 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a laboratory or testing setting.
  • Proficient in mathematics, including algebra and statistical analysis.
  • Able to earn certifications in soils, concrete, and asphalt testing (WAQTC, ACI, and NICET).
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
