Job Summary

The Village of Orland Park is seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for performing complex financial analysis, preparing financial reports, and assisting with the annual budget preparation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply principles of accounting to prepare and analyze financial information
  • Perform a variety of standard and complex technical accounting, finance, and administrative assignments
  • Assist with the annual audit, working with auditors to provide needed information
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for the Village and various Commissions and Component Units
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA designation preferred
  • Two to five years of related financial accounting experience
  • Experience in municipal finance/accounting strongly preferred
