We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician I to join our Inpatient Pharmacy team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a Pharmacy Technician I, you will play a critical role in the preparation and dispensing of patient medications, ensuring the delivery of these medications to nursing units.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and dispense patient medications, including unit-dose medications, sterile products, and hazardous medications.
- Assist pharmacists in processing new medication orders and answering phones.
- Restock pharmacy work areas, pharmacy satellites, and automated dispensing cabinets with medications and supplies as needed.
- Inspect medication storage areas for expired or unusable medications.
- Participate in training new employees in the main pharmacy and limited specialized areas.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Registered with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Registered Technician or Technician Trainee.
- Certification by examination as a pharmacy technician (CPhT, ExCPT).
- At least six months of previous pharmacy experience preferred.
