Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at MJ Care Inc. The successful candidate will work closely with our Physical Therapists to provide high-quality physical therapy treatments and procedures to help patients regain movement and manage pain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Physical Therapists in developing treatment plans and carrying out routine functions, including instructing and motivating patients, observing and documenting progress, and modifying treatments as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Transport patients safely and efficiently, using proper positioning and equipment to prevent injury.
  • Administer various physical therapy modalities, including manual exercises, therapeutic massage, and heat and light treatments.
  • Measure and record patients' range-of-motion, vital signs, and other relevant data to track progress and inform treatment decisions.
  • Conduct therapy sessions within established standards of care, upholding professional and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to achieve positive patient outcomes and promote a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current state license and/or certification to provide physical therapist assistant services in good standing.
  • Valid National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • 1+ year of experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency or crisis situations.
Working Conditions

The Physical Therapist Assistant will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, interacting with patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals on a regular basis. The position requires the ability to lift and transfer patients, as well as work in a variety of settings, including clinics, hospitals, and rehabilitation centers.
