Key Responsibilities:
- Disassemble and assess various types of AC and DC motors, gear units, and pumps.
- Assemble and test mechanical components to ensure optimal functionality.
- Diagnose issues with incoming units to address customer concerns effectively.
- Utilize dimensional measurements for accurate repairs.
- Record electrical data and assess mechanical fits and clearances.
- Prepare detailed work scopes for necessary materials required for repairs.
- Adhere to provided instructions to complete repair tasks efficiently.
- Connect repaired equipment for testing purposes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Manage personal and shop tools and equipment effectively.
- Be available for overtime as needed.
Qualifications:
- Preferred 2 years of experience in mechanical assembly and disassembly.
- Ability to interpret mechanical schematics and prints.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
- Proficient in using electrical testing tools, including multimeters and hand tools.
- Possess mechanical aptitude and a foundational understanding of electrical principles.
- Must hold a valid and clean driver's license for operating company vehicles.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working on elevated platforms and climbing ladders.
- Willingness to perform tasks that may involve bending, kneeling, or reaching.
- Exposure to various environmental conditions, including dust and noise.
- Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills are essential for operating tools and machinery.
Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience (ranging from $17 to $32 per hour, plus benefits).
