Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Brain Injury Specialist to join our team at the National Brain Injury Institute. As a key member of our outpatient team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough evaluations, creating comprehensive treatment plans, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations, including history, physical exam, ROS, and detailed history of symptoms s/p brain injury.
  • Create a comprehensive treatment plan to address all symptoms and update plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with our Medical Assistant to ensure timely completion of prior authorization requests, requests from attorneys, and requests from patients.
  • Obtain or maintain DEA license.
  • Medication management for post-traumatic headaches, anxiety, depression, PTSD, vertigo, nausea, and other conditions related to the brain injury.
  • Utilize our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to maintain accurate demographic information, scheduling of patients' appointments, and order medications.
  • Utilize a cloud-based platform to complete all visit report forms and testing documents and reports.

Requirements:

  • Must be tech-savvy and have knowledge with Google Apps.
  • Starting Salary at $65/hour subject to periodic review.
  • Part-time hourly position (1099 position).
  • Alternating Friday 8:45am to 5pm at Tampa and Orlando Clinic.
  • Be able to reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).
  • Willing to sign an initial of 1 year minimum contract but can renewed on a yearly basis.
