Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a customer-centric merchandise assortment strategy while continuously monitoring and adjusting sales plans based on fashion and industry trends.
  • Request and evaluate vendor quotations; negotiate pricing and terms. Select vendors based on cost, quality, and delivery efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to product quality standards, aiming to meet and exceed customer expectations through strategic selection and pricing.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and evaluate item performance.
  • Generate and assess reports to formulate actionable insights.
  • Conduct competitive shopping to evaluate products, pricing, and merchandising strategies.
  • Track and monitor quarterly objectives and goals.
  • Maintain budgeted profit margins and open-to-buy (OTB) for assigned categories.
  • Evaluate vendor performance regarding quality, pricing, and delivery to optimize the vendor base.
  • Integrate brand, sourcing, marketing, and retail supply chain functions into the merchandising process for informed business decisions.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in retail buying.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and database applications, including the ability to create ad hoc spreadsheets and macros.
  • Experience with MicroStrategy reporting is a plus.
