Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and monitor accounting data to generate comprehensive financial reports.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the financial reporting structure and general ledger.
  • Supervise daily operations of the accounting department to ensure efficiency.
  • Implement internal controls over reconciliations to adhere to compliance standards.
  • Guarantee timely reporting of monthly financial data, including balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely closing of financial periods on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly variance analyses.
  • Evaluate departmental workflows to enhance efficiency and resource utilization while maintaining accuracy.
  • Manage the fixed asset system, ensuring proper recording and depreciation of assets.
  • Guide staff on the handling of complex reporting transactions.
  • Ensure consistent application of accounting standards and practices.
  • Research accounting issues to ensure compliance with applicable principles.
  • Oversee audit requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures to uphold proper accounting practices.
  • Lead and mentor accounting staff to meet all financial reporting deadlines.
  • Provide training and support to both new and existing team members.
  • Engage in special projects and initiatives aimed at process improvement.
  • Collaborate with team members to set annual goals and monitor progress for professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in general accounting, with a minimum of 4 years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is essential.
  • CPA certification is mandatory.
  • Experience with SAP ERP is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Blackline is advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, documents, and presentations.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is necessary.
  • Knowledge of Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) is a plus.

Compensation: $85,000—$173,000
