We are seeking a skilled CDL A Driver to join our team at Southeast Building Supply Interests Inc. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for delivering our products to customers safely, efficiently, and on time.
Key Responsibilities- Delivery and Logistics: Drive local distances to deliver and pick-up goods to and from construction sites, ensuring timely and safe transportation of materials.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts to unload building materials and hand load, unload, stack, and stage products as needed.
- Record Keeping: Accurately record activities, cargo deliveries, and hour logging to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Complete the driver vehicle inspection report and inform management of any mechanical issues to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer concerns and delivering superior service to meet our customers' needs.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to DOT, state, and local traffic laws, as well as company policies and procedures, to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, current CDL Class A driver's license, and a minimum of 5 years of driving experience.
- Physical Demands: Ability to frequently lift 100 pounds up to a height of 5 feet with assistance, carry 100 pounds over a distance of at least 12 feet with assistance, and push 100 pounds in a wheeled cart.
- Skills and Competencies: Strong attention to detail, comprehensive understanding of logistics systems, and a personable demeanor with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
