About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Abrasive Machinist IV (Grinder) to join our team at Kamatics Corporation. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing all machining operations as part of the production process in an assigned cell.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and operate centerless or center grinding machines or honing machines on a diversified line of work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications requiring an intermediate level of skill.
  • Setups involve familiarity with and understanding of manufacturing order of operations involving combinations of operations.
  • Work from operation sheets, and machine setup instructions.
  • Self-sufficient with work-holding and work support methods, stone selection, wheel speed, wheel dressing, and machine adjustments.
Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience as a grinding operator or 1 year of CNC machining experience.
Working Conditions
  • Continual standing.
  • Frequent mental and visual attention.
  • Frequent bending, twisting.
  • Frequent grasping items and tools.
  • Occasional (15-40%) lifting and moving materials up to 50 lbs.
