About The Role

The RealReal is seeking a skilled Jewelry Lab Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Authentication Centers, you will play a crucial role in processing and authenticating luxury goods. If you have a passion for the jewelry industry and are detail-oriented, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate XRF and X-Ray machines to accurately assign precious metal components and image various fashion products
  • Enter readings into our database and create baseline data feedback
  • Assess weights and measurements of jewelry items and clean them using industry-standard equipment
  • Collaborate with our Fine Jewelry and Watches authentication department to facilitate the processing of luxury goods
  • Operate the CWED (Carat Weight Estimation Device) to accurately calculate the carat weight of diamonds on a piece of jewelry

What You Bring To The Role

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated problem solver with an attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of Google Docs and Gmail
  • Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed
  • Self-motivation and a drive to achieve results
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills
  • Adaptability and openness to change
  • Math skills

Preferred Requirements

  • Fashion or technical interest a plus
  • Jewelry industry experience or interest a plus
