JOB SUMMARY:
The Inpatient Care Nurse is responsible for assessing patient health issues and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining accurate medical records. This role involves:
- Administering nursing care to patients who are ill, injured, recovering, or disabled
- Providing guidance to patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Maintaining detailed reports and records
- Administering medications while monitoring for reactions and side effects
- Observing, recording, and reporting any changes in patients' conditions
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To qualify for this position, candidates must:
- Hold a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment or possess a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
- Obtain AHA BLS certification prior to the conclusion of the orientation period
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
While not required, candidates with the following qualifications are preferred:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing
- Experience in a circulating role within the operating room
