Job Summary:
Thalle Construction Co. Inc. is seeking a skilled Millwright to join their team. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for installing, dismantling, maintaining, repairing, reassembling, and moving machinery according to blueprints, plans, and drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, dismantle, maintain, repair, reassemble, and move machinery using power tools, dollies, rollers, and hoists.
- Utilize laser alignment tools, micrometers, plum bobs, and other equipment to ensure accurate and efficient work.
- Test and diagnose systems for functionality and repair.
- Evaluate the function of HVAC equipment and repair as needed.
- Perform routine plumbing and carpentry tasks as required.
- Able to read blueprints and sketches.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to receive written or oral instructions.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with field and office personnel.
- Must be committed to contributing to a culture of safety, looking out for yourself and others.
- 4+ years of Millwright or equivalent experience.
Physical Requirements:
Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
Work long shifts and in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements.
Able to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and safety-toed boots.
Able to walk moderate distances to reach work area up to 1/2 mile.
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone.
Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment drug screen.
