Job Overview

John W. Danforth Company, a leading mechanical contractor in the Northeast, is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team.

We offer a competitive salary of $90,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support project managers in planning and allocating resources effectively to meet project objectives.
  • Assist in preparing comprehensive budgets and monitoring financial progress throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Aid in monitoring project timelines and milestones, identifying and addressing potential risks and delays.
  • Maintain clear and regular communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Collaborate with project team members to deliver high-quality mechanical solutions.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards at all project stages.
  • Coordinate project schedules, subcontracts, and labor to maximize project success.
  • Review project invoice amounts with clients to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain a daily log of project activities and correspondence to track progress and facilitate communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Associate's Degree in a construction-related field.
  • 0-5 years of experience in the industry.
  • Proficiency in computer-based management systems.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs to view potential work.
  • Employee must perform complex physical maneuvers, including lifting, stretching, climbing, crawling, etc.
