Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Shipping Department Employees: Lead and manage a team of shipping department employees, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their daily tasks and responsibilities.
  • Verify Daily Payroll Time Sheets: Review and verify time sheets for all employees in the department to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Manage Daily Paperwork: Be responsible for completing and submitting daily paperwork, including absentee sheets, vacation requests, and disciplinary action forms.
  • Comply with Company Policies: Ensure all employees in the department comply with all written corporate and plant policies, including those related to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain High Standards of Hygiene and Cleanliness: Ensure the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies.
  • Inspect Products: Physically inspect products for natural occurring and processing defects, including deformity, bruising, infection, discoloration, abscess, foreign material, and out of spec product.
  • Identify and Report Suspicious Situations: Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to immediate supervisors or plant management officials, including product tampering, willful product adulteration, unauthorized employees in restricted areas, and equipment malfunction.
Requirements:
  • 2-3 Years Shipping Supervisor Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a shipping supervisor in a poultry processing facility.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: College degree in Poultry Science or related agriculture discipline, 5 years shipping supervisory experience in a poultry processing facility, and bilingual skills.
