Job Title: Associate Attorney

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Associate Attorney to join our team at Zwicker & Associates, P.C. in Troy, MI.

Job Summary:

The Associate Attorney will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and filing legal pleadings, motions, and discovery in furtherance of active litigation files. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload.

Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with team members and outside parties
  • Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, and discovery
  • Review litigation case files and pleadings to determine appropriate action
  • Advocate on behalf of client's interests at various litigation settings
  • Utilize internal proprietary software to update and document the status of each account in the assigned inventory
  • Analyze and process litigation inventory reports and litigation files to ensure proper litigation workflow
  • Comply with all client and firm standard operating procedures
  • Ability to travel to various courtrooms within the branch office footprint as required
Requirements:
  • Admission to practice law in the state of MI
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Eagerness to learn
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one year of litigation/trial experience
  • Working knowledge of civil procedure
  • Debt collection experience
  • Prior experience in high volume environment

This is a full-time, full-benefit position with a competitive salary range of $75,000-$90,000 per year. Benefit package includes medical, vision, and dental insurance, long-term disability insurance, life insurance, compensated time off, paid holidays, and 401K with match.
