Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist

As an Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians during complex cardiovascular procedures. Your expertise will ensure that all operations are conducted with the utmost adherence to sterile techniques and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the physician during invasive cardiovascular, electrophysiology, and peripheral vascular procedures.
2. Maintain a sterile environment and ensure the safety and proper functioning of radiologic equipment.
3. Conduct diagnostic procedures including right and left heart catheterizations, pacemaker and ICD insertions, and various coronary interventions.
4. Serve as a second circulator and documenter, effectively managing hemostasis and evaluating patient conditions to minimize complications.
5. Provide comprehensive pre and post-procedure patient care, ensuring accurate documentation and patient advocacy.
Qualifications:
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
- Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) is preferred within 18 months of employment.
- CPR and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a Cath Lab or Radiology setting is advantageous.
