About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer II to support our software quality initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and deploying software quality plans and activities that translate customer requirements into actionable tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support product software quality improvements by developing and maintaining software quality plans and activities.
  • Instill best practice methods, procedures, and controls to ensure software quality.
  • Provide technical training and mentorship to lower-level engineers, technicians, and inspectors.
  • Review and approve engineering, test, and contractor documentation to ensure software quality requirements are addressed.
  • Lead software product quality improvement teams and participate in Failure Review Boards.
  • Provide technical support for software build and compilation, testing, and inspection of completed executables.
  • Communicate clearly with other company personnel and customers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Competent technical expertise and application domain knowledge.
  • Experience with compilers, SW build tools, C++, Java, Python, or Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with quality standards (ISO, AS9100D) and quality tools (Six Sigma tools, statistics).
  • Experience with PLM tools like Omnify/Empower.
  • Experience with software version control tools like GitLab, DOORS.
  • ASQ certification is desired.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and writing skills.
  • Ability to define problems and drive to root cause and effective corrective action.
