Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and implement procedures and treatments.
- Utilize leadership skills and clinical judgment to direct and delegate activities of the resident care team.
- Administer medications correctly and safely, utilizing knowledge of medication actions, indications, and potential side effects.
- Participate in education and training of patients and their families, utilizing health teaching opportunities and resources.
- Contribute to interdisciplinary discharge planning activities, identifying and utilizing health teaching opportunities and resources.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
- BLS Certification.
- One year previous experience, including charge nurse, Minimum Data Sets (MDS), and Patient Review Instruments (PRI), with 2+ years of critical care or PACU RN experience preferred.
