About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Development Engineer II to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a key member of our Hardware Engineering Services team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-performance hardware solutions for our cloud infrastructure.

Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining complex server and storage systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software development, operations, and supply chain, to ensure seamless integration and deployment of our hardware solutions.

As a Hardware Development Engineer II, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, collaborate with talented engineers, and contribute to the growth and success of our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex server and storage systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of our hardware solutions.
  • Develop and maintain functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
  • Debug and root cause analysis of PCIe, memory, storage subsystems, or networking issues.
  • Develop monitoring and alerting systems to quickly identify and categorize failures in production environments.
Requirements
  • BS degree in EE, CE, or CS.
  • 3+ years of experience with complex server, storage, or network server designs.
  • 3+ years of experience developing functional specifications, design verification plans, functional test procedures, and operational repair plans.
  • 3+ years of experience with debug and root cause analysis of PCIe, memory, storage subsystems, or networking.
  • Experience with developing monitoring and alerting systems to quickly identify and categorize failures in production environments.
