Laundry Worker Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry Worker to join our team at Healthcare Services Group. As a Laundry Worker, you will be responsible for collecting, sorting, and loading soiled linen into the washer(s) and loading clean linens into the dryer(s), folding clean linens, counting and recording the linen processed each day, making proper deliveries to units, and cleaning and sanitizing the work area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect, sort, and load soiled linen into the washer(s) and load clean linens into the dryer(s)
  • Fold clean linens and count and record the linen processed each day
  • Make proper deliveries to units and clean and sanitize the work area
  • Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions and follow safety precautions
  • Report equipment/cleaning product needs and or malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude with the ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Perform routine, repetitive tasks daily
  • Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
