APN Primary Care Fellowship Position

The APN Primary Care Fellowship is a unique opportunity for advanced practice nurses and physician assistants to gain hands-on experience in primary care, urgent care, and general pediatrics. This fellowship program is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience, with a focus on care in rural and medically underserved practices.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care to patients of OSF HealthCare
- Provide advanced practice services, including procedural experiences such as suturing, incision and drainage, splinting, and foreign body removal
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records
- Exercise diligence in assisting the Ministry CEO in keeping costs to a minimum while maintaining high-quality care
- Provide a personalized, patient-centric experience to patients of the Practice and the OSF Hospital

In accordance with professional standards of care and adhering to corporate philosophy of OSF HealthCare, the advanced practice nurse/physician assistant shall be responsible for:
- Providing high-quality patient care to the patients of OSF HealthCare
- Providing such professional Advanced Practice services
- Maintaining the consistency and quality of all services provided to the Practice and its patients
- Maintaining full and current patient medical records, including reports of all examinations, procedures, and other services performed by Provider or other support staff
- Exercising diligence in assisting the Ministry CEO in keeping costs of the Practice to a minimum while maintaining a high level of quality care for patients
- Providing a truly personalized, patient-centric experience to patients of the Practice and the OSF Hospital aligned to the patient's preferences, goals, and needs
