POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Landscaping Technician at Shore Lodge, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for enhancing the aesthetic appeal of our outdoor spaces. Our Landscaping Technicians are enthusiastic and committed individuals who ensure that our lawns and gardens create a welcoming atmosphere for guests and members alike. This role involves a variety of physical tasks aimed at maintaining the beauty and functionality of our landscapes, irrigation systems, flower beds, and pathways.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute diverse landscaping tasks across our picturesque grounds.
- Manage drainage systems, mow lawns, and clear leaves, snow, and debris.
- Care for flower beds through mulching, raking, and deadheading.
- Ensure cleanliness of all pathways and parking areas.
- Maintain pool areas to meet resort standards.
- Conduct seasonal grounds clean-up in spring and fall.
- Replace and verify the functionality of exterior lighting.
- Complete daily assignment sheets and checklists as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS:
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently.
- A passion for outdoor work and physical activity in varying weather conditions.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and resume tasks efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of planting, landscaping, and irrigation systems.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with guests and team members.
- Preferred experience in hospitality or customer service sectors.
- Previous landscaping experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with operating mowers, blowers, trimmers, and other landscaping tools.
