Position Overview

The Evening Custodial Technician is accountable for the routine upkeep and sanitation of the facilities and grounds managed by the York County Economic Alliance. This role involves collaborating with various departments while working under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Facilities Director.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintain cleanliness of both interior and exterior areas to meet established standards.
  2. Execute fundamental cleaning tasks as required, including:
  • Restrooms: Thoroughly clean and disinfect all surfaces, including walls, fixtures, and floors.
  • Office Spaces: Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize surfaces, including countertops and desks, while managing waste disposal.
  • Break Rooms: Ensure cleanliness through dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Elevators: Maintain cleanliness of walls and ceiling fixtures.
  • Main Lobby: Uphold cleanliness standards through regular dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing.
  • Public Areas: Keep common areas clean and presentable.
  • Parking Lots: Sweep and manage waste disposal.
  • Exterior Grounds: Maintain cleanliness by sweeping sidewalks, emptying trash, and managing landscaping.
Utilize appropriate tools and equipment safely to complete assigned tasks.Monitor workspaces for cleanliness and safety, assisting other departments as needed.Engage in departmental meetings focused on problem-solving and quality improvement.Complete necessary documentation related to work requests and safety reports.Interact professionally with coworkers and the public for informational purposes.Adhere to all safety protocols and report any unsafe conditions to the Supervisor.Respond to emergencies outside of regular hours as directed.Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
