Key Responsibilities
  • Table Preparation: Prepare tables by laying out silverware, refilling condiments, and performing other preparation tasks to ensure a clean and inviting dining area.
  • Menu Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on current menu choices, specialties, and menu deviations to provide accurate information to guests.
  • Guest Interaction: Present menus, suggest dishes, assist with drink selection, and communicate food preparation details to guests to ensure a personalized dining experience.
  • Teamwork: Maintain a positive and collaborative attitude, working closely with kitchen staff and other servers to ensure seamless service.
  • Guest Recognition: Learn guests' names, occupations, and favorite drinks to create a personalized experience and encourage repeat visits.
  • Wine Service: Properly open and pour wine at the tableside to enhance the dining experience.
  • Payment and Reconciliation: Obtain revenues, issue receipts, accept payments, and return change to ensure accurate financial transactions.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor to maintain a clean and safe dining environment.
  • Special Events: Assist with special events as needed to provide exceptional service and create memorable experiences for guests.
  • Greeting and Appearance: Greet all guests and owners warmly with an appropriate greeting, while maintaining a professional appearance and adhering to grooming and appearance standards.
  • Product Knowledge: Understand and communicate products available at the restaurant to provide accurate information to guests.
  • Cooking Skills: Possess some familiarity with basic cooking skills to enhance the dining experience and provide assistance as needed.
Job Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Experience: Previous serving experience strongly preferred.
  • Personality and Skills: Outgoing personality, positive attitude, and strong oral communication skills required.
  • Language: Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English.
