CAD Technician

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our team at JSI. As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible for creating and editing technical drawings and designs using AutoCAD 3D and associated GIS toolsets. Your attention to detail and ability to work accurately will be essential in ensuring the quality of our work.

• Interpret and draw various types of engineering documents, including design maps, staking sheets, schematics, and detail drawings.
• Work at a computer station, clearly viewing the monitor while using fine hand manipulation of a mouse to draw various engineering drawings.
• Use various types of printers/plotters, loading paper and changing toner as needed.
• Lift and carry 10 lbs, and operate various binding machines that require operating hand and foot controls.

• Detailed experience with AutoCAD 3D and associated GIS toolsets used in mapping telecommunications outside plant networks.
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS and shapefile creation/manipulation.
• Experience with preparing CAD documentation for telecommunication service providers is preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work on technical projects, utilizing software, advanced mathematics, and other technical computer skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on multiple projects.
• High school diploma required, Associate's degree or bachelor's degree preferred.
